We care a lot about our community at Campfire. We want every user to have a fun, positive experience. That's why we made some Camp Rules to keep our campsite clean.
Rule #1: Be cool.
No one likes a jerk. Campfire is supposed to be a chill place to hang out with your friends. If you act like a jerk, you ruin it for everyone, so just be cool.
Stuff that isn't cool includes hate speech, illegal or sexual solicitations, and bullying, stalking, or harassing other Campfire users. If we catch you being a jerk in any of these ways, you'll be banned from Campfire. Even worse, we'll put you on latrine duty.
If you see someone who shouldn't be allowed at the Campfire, let us know! We want Campfire to be safe for everyone.
Rule #2: Be legal.
If you want to hang by Campfire until 3am taking with your squad, we won't stop you. If you want to use the poop sticker in literally every situation, fine by us. But we are not okay with breaking the law. Don't use Campfire to do anything illegal. We're also pretty strict about inappropriate content.
"What's inappropriate?" you might be wondering. Inappropriate content includes spamming, graphic violence like guns, blades, or suicide, and material that threatens other users, even if as a joke. Campfire takes that stuff seriously, and we will report these users directly to the authorities.
As a general rule of thumb, if your mom doesn't approve of it, we probably don't either.
Rule #3: Be yourself.
We encourage all kinds of self-expression at Campfire, and we want this to be a place where everyone feels safe, comfortable, and welcome to be themselves.
We know how important it is to be able to express yourself, but it's equally important to make sure we respect others, too. Be thoughtful about what you share and what you say around Campfire.
We think you're awesome. That's why Campfire doesn't allow users who deliberately mislead others by using false names or usernames, or anyone who tries to impersonate other users. Don't be someone else, just be yourself.
Breaking Camp Rules may result in the suspension of your account and being prohibited from using Campfire in the future. If you're still not sure whether you're in violation of these community guidelines, or if you'd like to report someone in violation of Camp Rules, you can reach us at email@example.com. You can also find more detailed information in our Terms of Service.
